About

Leon Visser is an award-winning film and TV editor with a passion that ignited back in 2005 when he first dabbled in video editing during his high school days. He started out trying his hand at both shooting and editing, but it didn't take long for him to discover that editing was where he truly belonged. Over the years, he worked on a wide range of projects, including documentaries, music videos, and corporate videos. However, his heart was set on narrative film and TV projects.

On the side, he poured his heart into creating passion project short films. Eventually, his dedication paid off as he gained recognition and landed his very first TV series, Die Boekklub (2016). From there, his career took off, and he found himself working on more significant series and films. One of his most notable works to date is the internationally acclaimed eco-horror, Gaia (2021). Leon Visser's journey underscores his dedication to his craft and his knack for thriving in the ever-evolving world of film and television.

Although his focus is film & TV editing, he also takes on the colour correction/grading of most his projects. He is the co-owner and head of post-production at Kin Media along with Sam Suter from Black Bean Productions.
