7 DESERTS RUN ‘EPISODE 5 – THE RICHTERSVELD’

The 7 Deserts Run follows Mina Guli, as she runs 40 marathons across 7 deserts on 7 continents in just 49 days to raise awareness of the global water crisis.

“Our biggest problem is that we don’t include ourselves in nature. We exclude ourselves as something different from nature and we’re not. We’re part of nature. That is the loss of us as humans. We’re missing out the joy of what it should be like to live on earth. “

Leg 5 of the 7 Deserts Run took us to one of the oldest deserts on earth where we explored how life has adapted to survive in extremely harsh conditions. Perhaps, if our water crisis continues the way it is, we need to be prepared that we also might have to adapt to living in these kinds of environments.
